Meet All The Ladies Davido Has Dated

Davido is not the average 22-year-old. He is a super star artiste, heir to a billionaire father and a ladies’ man on  many levels.

Following his twitter rants on July 28, wherein he downplayed reports of a likely reunion with his 19-year-old Guinean ex, Sira Kante, we have compiled a list of interesting facts about the ‘Back When’ singer and the women in his world as we know.

Sometime in May 2015, reports got around that the singer had fathered a baby by Sophie Momodu, but his camp put out a statement writing off any such thing.

We should do well to remember that with Sophie also called Belladona, it makes it at least four women we’ve seen around the man in his very short span so far as a celebrity, but most of these affairs have been denied at various points.

Speaking to TheNET.ng in May, David refuted claims of his new status as ‘father’.

‘Bloggers are just confused, Davido doesn’t have a child yet, his sister is still pregnant too. Davido simply put up a baby’s hand to signify a new beginning and it’s causing wahala’, his aide said in the chat.

Recall that in February 2012, pictures of Davido in bed with a certain Sonia Jumbo leaked and stirred major conversations across social media. Sonia, an 18-year-old undergraduate in a Ghanaian university at the time, met up with the Pop singer and his team at a gig and the rest is history.

There have also been repeated, though largely unconfirmed, reports linking him and a certain Staicey Brianar in a sexual relationship.

Staicey, also called Pendo, reportedly hooked up with self-titled Omo Baba Olowo at Kenyan night club, Galileo, in 2013.

‘He was perfect. He is much better than your ‘average Kenyan’. He is big. Both length and width and best part is, he really knows what he is working with. He has crazy moves; he kept it fresh for a couple hours. I am impressed. Definitely the best, ok maybe not the best I ever had, but he is up there,’ Staicey told Kenyan blog, African Eagle, after the romp.

Anyways, Davido has admitted paternity of the new born Imade from Abuja-based Belladona. He was at the baby shower in May, 2015.

He also recently copped a pair of custom-made Nike sneakers for baby Imade Adeleke, a gift he shared on social media on July 29. He looks to be easing into the new role smoothly. And it’s been pleasant his joining the league of daddies in Nigeria’s music circle.

What isn’t so pleasing is his recent denial of still being in a romantic affair with Sira Kante, not after we caught a glimpse of her with the OBO’s customized gold chain on Instagram.

Sira through her account (inkmyafrica) had put up an image of her with the chain on, with David via his davidoofficial account ‘liking’ it only a few minutes after on Sunday, July 26.

And so it’s quite disturbing this revelation, especially with David taking to Twitter to counter this.

He wrote; ‘Awon oniranu….rumour carrier.. Only Woman in my life right now is my daughter so blogs stop talking sh*t’ a few days ago, July 28 to be exact, taking the suspense surrounding him and Sira to new heights.

"I won’t appoint people who lack integrity as ministers' - Buhari says

Yesterday during his live programme on NTA, President Buhari said he won't appoint men and women who lack integrity as ministers in his cabinet.
"We will try as much as possible to avoid appointing hostages; by this, I mean people who have been in the system but compromised their personal and professional integrity. From what I have seen so far, we need very patriotic Nigerians to be ministers; Nigerians that can work very hard with knowledgeable experience; committed Nigerians to be in charge of ministries. A lot of institutions in Nigeria are compromised, everybody for himself and God for all of us. It is most unfortunate. We have people, educated and experienced people, but everybody seems to be working for himself on how much they could get away with as soon as possible.
We have to look for technocrats and politicians. We have to look out for decent people in this class to give them the responsibility of being in charge of ministries and important parastatals. It is taking so much time to appoint ministers because a number of knowledgeable people have been compromised. They have been compromised by people who will like to depend on them to damage our economy and security; a lot of them have been compromised. The worst thing that I think can happen is to get a compromised person to be in charge of institutions.
There is no way he could be efficient or patriotic. Somebody behind the scene will be manipulating him at the expense of the nation. This is what we are trying to avoid and I assure you that so much damage has been done to Nigeria. We cannot rush to give this responsibility to people that have unfortunately been compromised. This is because there is no way you can effectively supervise, let’s say 20 ministries, you have to give it to people you trust and you allow them to perform according to the Constitution of the country. If you appoint compromised people, then we will be back to square one and Nigeria will be the loser.” he said (Punch)

Intervention Fund: Presidency Sets Aside N300bn For States

The planned financial intervention of the presidency to bailout states in distress would be fully implemented in a couple of weeks, the presidency says.

In a statement issued by the Senior Special Assistant to the Vice President on Media and Publicity, Laolu Akande, the presidency said meetings are being held between members of the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) and the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), and also between CBN and commercial banks.

According to the statement, the meetings were meant to determine the details of the special intervention fund and the debt relief programme of the President for states.

The meetings were also reviewing loan profiles of the states, addressing issues weaved around restructuring of existing loans including time span, and reconciling the figures.

“Already, it has been agreed that existing state loans be restructured for 20 years, and regarding the bond option, the rates to be applied will be market-based but with a cap to make it affordable.

“Within weeks from now, the states are expected to start benefitting from two other parts of the presidential intervention,’’ the statement added.

The presidential intervention would make available more funds to the state governments which otherwise would have been removed at source by the banks, Vanguard reports.

Akande, explained that so far, the states have drawn from the Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas taxes and dividends which amounts to 2.1 billion dollars in addition to the N518 billion federation account allocation shared last week.

He also recalled that during the last National Economic Council (NEC) meeting, the states were encouraged to take certain steps to avert similar financial distress in future.

The steps include making the payment of salaries a first-line charge; increasing their internally-generated revenue; cleaning up their payroll to eliminate “ghost workers’’ and opening fully-functional Debt Management Offices.

Police: Investigation into forgery of Senate rules is inconclusive

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has said it has not concluded its investigations into the alleged forgery of the Senate’s Standing Order, adding that no copy of its report had been handed to President Muhammadu Buhari as reported in some sections of the media.

The Force Public Relations Officer Emmanuel Ojukwu described as false the news report that the investigation into the alleged forgery had been concluded and a report submitted to the president by the police.

A news story over the weekend claimed that the president had received a copy of the police report last week, confirming that the Standing Rules used to inaugurate the Eighth Assembly were forged.

In the story, the police were said to have recommended the prosecution of those found culpable of forging the rules, which were used in the election of the Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki, and his deputy, Senator Ike Ekweremadu on June 9, 2015.

The report was said to have indicted the management of the National Assembly, especially the clerk, Salisu Maikasuwa, among others, and recommended the prosecution of the suspects.

However, Ojukwu said that the investigation was still ongoing, adding that no report was submitted to the president.
He said:
“I want to state categorically that the investigation into the allegation of forgery at the Senate is still ongoing. We have not concluded it yet, so where did the media get the information that not only has it been concluded but handed over to President Mohammed Buhari.
“The investigation is still ongoing and whenever it is ready, we will make it available to the public. The media report that we have concluded the investigation into the case is false and should be disregarded,” he said.
Acting on a petition by Senator Sulaiman Hunkuyi of the All Progressives Congress (APC), the police had on July 6 quizzed Maikasuwa over the alleged forgery of the standing rules of the upper legislative chamber.
The petition alleged that some parts of the 2015 rules were different from the one ratified by the Sixth Senate in 2010 and was used by the Seventh Senate in 2011.

The police, on the strength of the petition, had subsequently quizzed the leadership of the Seventh Senate, including former Senate President David Mark; his deputy (now Saraki’s deputy), Ekweremadu; former Senate Leader, Victor Ndoma-Egba; and the former Chairman, Senate Committee on Rules and Business, Senator Ita Enang.

Maikasuwa, who is the custodian of the standing rules, was also invited for questioning by the police.
But as the crisis from last month’s leadership election in the National Assembly festers, Buhari will meet the APC caucus in the House of Representatives.

Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, confirmed the meeting to State House correspondents.
