What 9ice Has To Say On Gov. Ajimobi’s Re-election 

The popular musician, Abolore Akande, otherwise known as 9ice, has congratulated Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo state on his re-election.

According to Vanguard, 9ice sent his congratulatory message to the governor in his native language, Yoruba, via his Instagram page saying: “Emi lao ni yosi base fe ori bena Lori. Ajaloleru. Ajimobi leekan si. Congratulations to all Oyo state youth.”

9ice who was appointed by Ajimobi as a special adviser, joined the APC and contested for the ticket of the party for the Ogbomosho Federal Constituency but was defeated at the primaries.

The win by Governor Abiola Ajimobi sees him break the second term jinx in Oyo state by becoming the first governor to be elected twice.

Ajimobi, candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), defeated Alao-Akala and Rashidi Ladoja, two former governors in the state to clinch the governorship position,

Although the INEC is yet to officially declare him the winner, Ajimobi had won 20 out of the 33 local governments in the state at the time of filing this report.
