The World's Biggest Twin Festival in Photos
Thousands of twins, triplets, quadruplets and
other multiples gathered for the biggest convention of twins in
Caulfield Racecourse, Melbourne, Australia.
Up to 3000 people, including twins, higher number multiples, and their families and friends attended the event. The festival offered something for everyone, with rides for all ages, celebrity twin meet-and-greets, twin-talent performances and even shopping and exhibits unique to twins. There was even a scientific side to the event, with researchers scouting for recruits to use in projects that will examine the science and psychology of life for multiple birth siblings.

Besides focusing on having a good time, the festival is also about supporting multiple birth families. “Life
in families with multiples can sometimes be difficult because of the
extra strain on finances, added stress on relationships, and
difficulties with educational outcomes. We want families with multiples
to know there is a lot of support around them and they’re not alone,” Festival Chairperson Karen Willetts – herself a mother of 13-year-old twins.
